Automatic translations thanks to AI: Legality Whistleblowing‘s new solution to handle whistleblowing reports in multiple languages
The platform is compliant with EU Directive 2019/1937, which was implemented in Spain, Ireland, Austria, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, and Slovenia in early 2023
The latest version of the Legality Whistleblowing software includes the innovative feature of automatic translation of reports and messages, an essential tool for all compliance professionals who deal with multilingual procedures on a daily basis, and which has become indispensable for any organization with the entry into force of the EU Directive in most European countries.
In fact, the EU Directive extends the definition of the whistleblower to categories that were previously excluded under national law: former employees and job applicants, the self-employed, freelancers, consultants, volunteers, trainees, shareholders, and stakeholders must now have access to internal reporting channels, including the mandatory IT channel for local authorities with more than 10,000 inhabitants and companies with more than 50 employees.
Even public agencies and companies without an international focus may increasingly find themselves handling cases of wrongdoing in multiple languages and communicating with whistleblowers who do not speak their own language. With Legality Whistleblowing, there is no need to hire a specialized agency or translator and slow down the reporting process: let’s see how it works together.
Automatic translation of reports: how it works and why it’s useful
The latest 4.2 release of Legality Whistleblowing breaks down language barriers by enabling managers, SBs, and employees to instantly translate the content of reports and messages exchanged with whistleblowers in more than 100 languages, thanks to artificial intelligence.
Managers in the back office of the application will be able to respond to the reports and conduct the investigation without having to resort to additional translation services or interrupt the workflow, thus avoiding delays in the response timeframes required by the EU Directive. The information to be translated is kept from other third parties.
Legality Whistleblowing meets the strictest standards for protecting the identity of the whistleblower and the content of the report: texts translated using the new feature are encrypted on the platform using advanced encryption technologies, are not stored in external repositories, and are not used by the artificial intelligence system to train the translation algorithms.
Legality Whistleblowing: the perfect software for public and private sector compliance
Legality Whistleblowing is designed to best fit the compliance programs of corporations, public authorities and private companies, with extensive platform configuration options – multi-organizational access for entities located in different locations and/or countries, multi-lingual and multi-channel interface, graphical and functional customization – to suit any type of structure, process and requirement.
Very easy to use and allows very smooth handling of reports and any information requests. It also allows easy access to statistical data, which is always useful for evaluation purposes. The management of the platform, in addition to being obviously compliant, has excellent technical and regulatory support.
